Argyle Thistle Men's Crew Sock

$ 11.00

The thistle has been Scotland's national emblem since the 13th century. Debate still continues as to the exact time and place that Argyle socks first made an appearance. However, regardless of location, there is little doubt that the first Argyle socks were designed by Scottish clansmen way back in the 16th century, when they used their traditional tartan to fashion foot coverings, creating the unique diamond pattern. They both get a modern update in these spiffy Argyle Thistle socks. Green and purple argyle dominates a lightly heathered cream background, while bold thistles appear to bloom out of some of the diamonds.
