Medusa Unisex Crew Socks
What female character in Greek Mythology gets a rotten deal? Theres a bunch to choose from but we're going with Medusa. Medusa is best known for having hair made of snakes and for her ability to turn anyone she looked at to stone, literally to petrify them. But see...here's the story, she's got a complicated past... the mortal Medusa, described as a beautiful maiden was seduced (that's a polite term for what happened) by Poseidon in Athena's Temple. Such a sacrilege attracted the goddess’ wrath, and Athena punished Medusa by turning her into the monstrous creature with slithery hair and a stony glare that we all think of. A complex character indeed, luckily, one common interpretation of Medusa suggests she is a symbol used to protect from and ward off the negative, much like the modern evil eye- her image can avert evil influences and bad luck. Medusa is shown in shades of green, grey and black. Medusa is a collaboration between Foot Clothes and Hagborn Trade.
